This manifesto aims to bring light to this issue and the lack of research done on these harmful substances. We, as women and people who menstruate, should be able to maintain our body's health worry-free. It’s unlikely that these products will become completely body-safe for us within the near future, however, every step counts, and this manifesto is one step closer to that future.
This project aimed to create a manifesto on a topic of our choosing. Women's rights and feminism, in general, are things that I'm incredibly passionate about. However, women's advocacy is such a large umbrella, so I wanted to touch on a topic that isn't touched on frequently: menstrual products. As women, we are all aware of the harms of these products. However, little research is done about these harms. With this manifesto, it brings light to the dangers. I was able to create posters that would promote the manifesto. Along with that, I created a presentation to present my manifesto. Click here to view the presentation. I would like to continue to expand this project by adding a physical product to go along with it in the future.
